This is an important commentary on why various kinds of policing reforms (like more diversity on police forces, police who live in the communities they work in, body cameras, and even community control of policing) are not what we really need. The author stops short of saying transformative / restorative justice that communities practices themselves -- instead of relying on police -- but he comes really close to saying that.
