This is an important traffic advisory from the Upper Saddle River Police Department: West Saddle River Road, north of Lake Street to Old Stone Church Road will be open only to local traffic. West Saddle River Road will be closed, completely, from Hess Court to Ackerson Lane. The closure is so the County can clean up safety coating on West Saddle River Road, between Hess Court and Ackerson Lane. The coating that was applied on August 21st did not adhere to the road properly, and it needs to be cleaned up. The roadway will be closed again, in the future, to reapply the coating. A message will be posted when that closure is needed. The closure to clean up the roadway is scheduled for one day, Wednesday, August 23rd, starting at 9am and lasting until approximately 3pm. The Bergen County Road Department will be posting DETOUR signs. The detour when traveling north, will be right onto Lake Street, left onto East Saddle River Road, left onto Old Stone Church Road, and right back onto West Saddle River Road. When traveling south, it will be left onto Old Stone Church Road, right onto East Saddle River Road, right onto Lake Street, and left onto West Saddle River Road.
