This is an interesting perspective from a dear friend of mine, whom I have respected for for nearly 30 years. She is bright, wise and thoughtful! She is a powerful black woman with insight. To add to her thoughts on the Ferguson situation, I would simply call to every American to learn to respect every other American (in addition to her call for us to respect authority). John Donne said: No man is an island entire unto itself. Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. Any mans death diminishes us, for we are involved with man kind. Mr Donne would be saddened on so many levels at the state of our nation, and out world. I am saddened as well.
