This is an interesting point. I have thought about this sort of thing a lot. There is a real clash of values or belief here. I believe that Humans have value (not just rights) weather they are judged to have human feelings or not. Richard Dawkins and others are of the belief that Human rights are connected with the ability to have Human Feelings which is a bit of a scary thought - who decides wether you are still Human enough after a brain injury? Or in the event you are terminally ill? Or if your beliefs differ from those who are powerful - I dont like the idea of people defining for themselves what is human and what is less or sub human. It is a small part of the dynamics of geneocide is justified.
