This is an old comment I wrote in the comments of this video 7 months ago. These women can go on about tolerance all they want but when one actually looks at the ideology behind the wearing of those garbs I think you would be hard pressed to tolerate that level of thinking. The Hijab and Burqa take responsibility away from the men and put it all on the women. By wearing it you are saying that women are inherently sinful tempting creatures that distract men, therefore they need to cover themselves. After all why expect men to be responsible individuals, all the responsibility is on the women right? I mean Allah made her inherently sinful therefore she has to know her place right? Jesus how can anyone take that line of thinking seriously? At least Channel 4 news actually looked at these forms of dress critically. BBC laps up the tolerance rhetoric without looking at what the garbs mean. The Warraq.
