This is an unusual post for me because its and EXERCISE WARNING: When I was younger I had a goal to run a marathon. I no longer desire to run a marathon because I exercise first and foremost for my health. We now know long endurance exercises like marathons actually age the body and cause damage to the heart and arteries. Research show long endurance exercise (more than 25 miles a week) actually begins to remove the benefits of exercising. It increases the calcification of arteries and put you at more risk than shorter more vigorous workouts.(Like Fit Haven Boot Camps :) ) To receive the greatest health benefit from exercise your workouts should be no more than an hour and the more vigorous the better.
