This is awesome! Check this out. Civil War officer Alonzo Cushing was wounded and killed here in Gettysburg and he gets the Medal of Honor. Watch the video as they will be very conservative in describing what happened...but I wont. On July 3 1863, Cushing was wounded with Confederate shrapnel and then he was hit again in his stomach ripping him open where his guts poured out. He held his insides in with his hand and continued to fight. He was then shot in the mouth where the bullet exited the back of his skull. People, this dude was disemboweled and still fought! This is an amazing story to illustrate how bad our Civil War was.
