This is awesome. This was very similar to my experiences doing acid. Overwhelming expansiveness, beauty and wonder. I still believe those experiences led me to Zen Buddhism. My teacher did hallucinogens as well. Weve talked about how these experiences can transform the person. From my reading, LSD does not alter consciousness. It simply lowers certain inhibitors in the brain so that our perception is more accurate. We perceive reality more directly. This is exactly what the Buddha experienced through zazen. But it is more stable because it is not chemically induced.
