This is awful and devastating to see how our news perpetuates rape culture. The amount of sympathy and compassion that has been expressed for these two juvenile rapists by being the center of attention and basically promoting us to forgive and forget is completely messed up. It is as though they are saying that the legal system failed these boys and the girl doesnt matter. They are 16 and 17 and were well aware of what they were doing. We need to look at the systemic and cultural perpetuation of rape culture and why at such young ages boys are being taught that they are entitled to a females body and the ways in which these messages impact girls!
