This is beautiful. If youve read my book, you know this is a practice of mine as well. Ill warn you, it may unsettle you. Take a moment and try to think of another time youve heard a woman say such loving, positive things about her own body. Not comparing to others. Not for the sake of approval. Just meeting her own gaze. Its unsettling because we dont hear it. Because were taught its not okay. To place SO much value in our appearance but to be sure we never, ever see ourselves as measuring up in that way. This is beautiful. Dont easy for her to say its beauty away. Dont take the possibility of this experience from her or you by drawing comparisons. This is beautiful. Set your guard down for a moment and let it be.
