This is becoming unYoruba. Tinubu traded away Mulikat - TopicsExpress

This is becoming unYoruba. Tinubu traded away Mulikat Akande-Adeola for Aminu Tambuwal as Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2011. Today (yesterday) at the APC primaries held in Lagos for the Lagos State House of Assembly election in 2015, Mr Tinubus APC traded away the position of Hon. Dr. Kabir Lawal Olajide, the incumbent Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Surulere Constituency for Desmond Elliott, an Ibo who recently associated with being a Yoruba. Mr Tinubus APC believed the nomination and confirmation of Desmond Idiot as the APC candidate to represent Surulere Constituency in the incoming Lagos State House of Assembly election in 2015 would secure the vote of the Ibo for the APC in the State. Disappointment? Thats probably too mild a description of what Yoruba has in store over the next few months for the APC in Yorubaland. I have always supported the initiatives of any Yoruba citizen contesting for any political position in any Yoruba States, but the boldness with which Tinubus APC throws out the nomination of Kenny Saint Brown, who contested in the primaries to represent Ikeja constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly for Folajimi Mohammed, son of Alhaji Lai Muhammad from Kwara State, gives the impression that Tinubu is acting like a ruler who has absolute power. A domineering figure who sees Yorubaland as a conquered territory for himself and inner circle of friends. He will surely meet his Waterloo in 2015, particularly given his desire for Gambari presidency. #ThinkYorubaFirst By: Adeyinka Grandson
