This is by far my riskiest and most challenging take on a Mariah Carey song ever!!! In fact, Ive NEVER tried singing this song in the past using my male vocals. I always used my female-sounding falsetto / headtone / whatever it is they call it. Hahaha...I mean hey, Ive never had any sort of voice lessons whatsoever so Im not really sure if those are the correct terms. Singing this song using my female voice is quite easy actually but this time around, I wanted to test my limits. Still need some polishing (a lot I think actually) especially in the tricky high-pitched parts but then again, I guess its not too bad considering this is MY FIRST TIME to sing this song using my male voice! At least I still managed to make that very sudden shift to the whistle register after all that full blast belting from the very first note up until the last! Hahaha...so here it is...my cover of the very first single, first number one song and first Grammy award winning masterpiece of my one and only ultimate idol since I was seven years old...THE SONGBIRD SUPREME herself, THE MARIAH CAREY...same key from start to finish and I could only wish that hopefully after several more rehearsals, I can sing this song flawlessly. I dedicate this song to everyone back home. After yet another horrifying super typhoon (RUBY), may all of you see the rainbow after the storm...GODs own unique way of showing us that if we just hold on to our faith and be strong, we will eventually see HIS VISION OF LOVE.
