This is by far the nicest quartz cluster Ive ever had the pleasure - TopicsExpress

This is by far the nicest quartz cluster Ive ever had the pleasure of owning. I took a lot of pictures, but they still dont convey what it actually is to hold this specimen in your hand. This cluster is from McAdoo, Pennsylvania, USA and measures over 4.25 inches long, 3.75 inches across, with an approximate depth of 2.5 inches. My scale stops at 300 grams, but Im guessing it weighs well over a pound. There are water clear terminations protruding at every angle, covering most of the specimen. There is only one area of matrix where the cluster attached to the pocket... everywhere else is 360 degrees of quartz - top & bottom & sides. The orange and pink coloration in the center is from iron oxide. This cost on this amazing specimen is $150, and that includes careful, fast shipping & insurance. I dont ever expect to come across a cluster like this again, truly a one of a kind collector piece.
