This is copy of an e-mail i have just sent to the Arch Bishop of Canterbury & the Arch Bishop of York & to the main office of the Church of England in York & to Lambeth Palace in London. hope nobody minds. Dear Sir or Madam. I would like to draw your attention to the disgraceful & appalling situation which is currently taking place at Thornhill Parish Church in Dewsbury. Bereaved relatives are having to pick through plastic bags to try to find keepsakes & trinkets which have been removed from the grave stones of there loved ones some of which have been broken & some are missing altogether, & dumped into plastic bags & left like rubbish at the side door to the church please see picture attached. The press & tv have now taken up this story & i would ask if you could look into this matter,as the Whole of the local community are up in arms about the current situation.
