This is exactly why a religion and government based on "revelation" and "holy teachings" is absolutely insane. It gives the most sick and power hungry people free reign to manipulate and subjugate their people in any way, shape or form. The only safety from the psychopaths is a people who are fully educated in critical thinking, logic, and mathematics. Only then will they be able to develop and utilize their higher reasoning powers. There has to be an educational system supportive of this and a government behind it that wants a fully empowered and highly intelligent citizenship.
