This is fascinating. A speaker at TEDGlobal robotic labs shows how algorithms can be used to create scenarios where quadcopter drones can interactively perform commands, such as catching and balancing objects, and positioning themselves, all using a handheld wand, or even hand gestures, instead of standard complicated flight mechanisms... Also most impressively the drones can be taught to work together to achieve a required response, such as three drones using a net to capture an object, and then propel it back to where it originated from!
