This is for all my basketball referee friends out there. Game at Effingham Saturday evening starts with a technical foul for a pre-game dunk. I watched the teams warm up and they had a 67 kid go up and lay it over the rim a couple times but never any contact with the rim that I saw. They put a team foul on the board but didnt give a foul to any individual on the board and the kid that the coach chewed on for the Technical didnt have one when he picked up his first personal foul. My understanding is this is a bench technical since the game hasnt started yet. Correct? Does coach lose his box for this? (He didnt Saturday.)
