This is for all the Honeybee lovers. These are photos of a live Bee removal I did with my father, last weekend. The tree these bees were living in, was less than 10 feet from the familys front door. The homeowner is deathly allergic to bees, and he messed with them, and it nearly cost him his life. My job was to use the chainsaw, and the bee vacuum. We used a custom made, two-piece attachment that fits on the top, and bottom of a bee hive box. The bees get vacuumed into the box, where the hide in between frames, filled with comb. As I vacuum the bees up, I remove the comb from the current colonys home. My dad attachs the comb to frames that are placed in a second box. The comb (filled with honey, and brood) will be re-united with the hive in a different location. After vacuuming bees for 1 1/2 hours, we shut the vacuum off, and seal the vacbox, so the bees cant escape again. We take the bees, and their comb to their new home, and mate the two boxes together.
