This is for everyone who spent time making my yesterday special, - TopicsExpress

This is for everyone who spent time making my yesterday special, let this be my way of thanking all of you. Next to fears of holding the microphone and facing people, and death, what most people are afraid of is growing old. As I turned 21 yesterday, I realized that I also have 21 reasons to be thankful for: 1. I was able to finish college and was able to land a job immediately. 2. I was bestowed with numerous recognition which others desperately have given up their social lives to just to get one. 3. I got a job that I want and I am happy of doing. 4. I happened to meet people who have positively influenced me to becoming a stronger HYACINTH at the age of 21. 5. I experienced failing several times yet, it didnt break me. Instead, these failures gave me the opportunity to give success as my rebound. 6. I had a very strong support system for twenty years and I am hoping to have an even stronger one as I conquer 21 and beyond. 7. A lot of people look up to me not because of what is mirrored in my face but because of my idealism (this makes more sense to me). 8. I always have been the independent one. I am glad that I have been raised up this way. 9. I was able to find myself so many sisters when I had none in real-life. 10. I have the usual imperfect family that tries to complement their weaknesses with each others’ strengths. 11. I usually get the things that I want for myself after I pray and work hard to get them. 12. I have had the best classmates since Kindergarten to Graduate School who have discovered and developed the leader in me. 13. I had the best mentors for this lifetime that helped build and establish Hyacinth as a legend to the young ones. 14. I have a brother, Joener Bangero, to whom I can always seek answer to my confusions and problems (with math as an exemption) – a brother who moved the mediocre in me into greatness. 15. I have with me my super power that no super hero ever created by human mind had– my family. (Cynthia Bangero, Neri Bangero, Gina Balediata, Anecita Magbanua, Tessie Balderas aunts, uncles, Felnie Caborubias, Isa Weidenhoefer-Bless, Cindy Balderas Pineda, cousins, nieces, and nephews) 16. I have created a very good network that permitted me to have the advantages that I enjoy today. 17. I have been to places that taught me experiences which have become useful as I face life’s daily struggle. 18. I have friends who have seen me ride on life’s wheel, yet, never left my side. Hanneh Karmela Barcenas Capote, Short Mjp Smith, Amelia Lucyl Gatmaitan, Czarina Valencia, Stephanie Erica Louise Ricamonte, Femadelle June Orera, Hilary Ruth Angela Baylon, Maria Jennifer Parman Luces, Emarie Beth, Wyanet Kaye Dangca, Christopher Andong Venancia, Notela Joy Baldevieso Bamo (Damo pa...) 19. I have found a best friend who taught me what most achievers fail to learn – humility. (Well, she just treated my every success as nothing unlike everyone around and so I didn’t get any ego-boost) This, I owe Lehra Baldevieso Bamo big time. 20. I am loved by a man I’ve known at the age of five, Izhevsk Myer Ixelleis Marchand. This to me is a privilege. 21. I have with me my King, my Best-est Friend, my Confidant who has never left my side since my natal day. I’ll get back to this list next year.
