This is for my music business colleagues and friends here on Facebook. Everyone else can stop reading now (or not - your choice). More and more over the last year or so, I am getting multiple copies of releases. Sometimes this is because the artist sends me a copy and then hires a promoter who also sends me a copy. Sometimes its just a duplicate I guess. I am now getting even THREE copies of some CDs. Please, if you do send me a CD, and then hire a promoter, tell them I already have a copy. I literally have nowhere to go with the CDs that are streaming in (since last Monday, I have received over 20 submissions), and when I get dupes, even if I like the CD enough to add to my desert island collection, I have no use for a second copy. I have asked EVERYONE I personally know here in the Twin Cities (co-workers, friends, etc.) if they want free CDs, and no one I know likes or knows anything about new age or ambient music, so I have all these extras that I have no use for whatsoever. Anyway, there you have it. Sorry for the whine.
