This is for those who I call the anti-Religion group, those who see Religion as bad & wrong. My argument put to this group is generally applied in three challenges per the claims that Religion is inherently bad--engendering violence and unethical behavior--and that Religion is inherently wrong--maintaining illogical and incorrect positions. Of the following: Jainism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, Shinto, Zoroastrianism, Gnosticism, and Re-constructional and Syncretic Neo-paganism. . . . (Ive inserted the emphasis [the] for the grammatical function of each particular case.) 1. What precisely is the basis and validity of your ethical and logical methodology? (just as a preliminary) 2. What precisely are the features of [the] Religion which manifest violence and unethical behavior; and of that religions history, what are consistent, properly representative examples of violence and immorality? 3. What precisely are features of [the] Religion which exhibit the postulation of illogical and erroneous ideas or notions? In my experience, when I put this to them, either the matter at hand is deflected or they concede that their initial estimations were possibly inaccurate.
