This is from mile 21 of Lizs Wild Hare 50K trail race on Saturday when she finally completed her virtual run from home to the Grand Canyon South Rim, a distance of 1441 miles, which she started on Jan 1st. I planted a marker to note the occasion and this stirred some emotions which we dont get to see very often. It was fitting that Christina was with her as they have shared so many of those miles together. I loved this idea as it really puts into perspective the huge distances you runner weirdoes actually cover. I almost feel I have covered many of them with her as I got to hear daily updates about her boredom and pain as she plotted her tediously slow progress across the vastness of Texas. Im very proud of these girls achievements. Where to next year?
