This is from my Swedish friend. There is a festival going on in her town of Umea, Sweden, that will last all year. It started in winter and will continued when the long days and warmer weather return. At the time it started there were nearly 20 hours of night each day, and very cold - extreme - temperatures, yet these intrepid Swedes - Norsemen and women - have made friends with winter and have shone lights in the long darkness.
