This is from one of my old books - have to just use parts of it - it is all good, but too long for fb: Jesus saw them toiling in rowing, for the wind was contrary with them. Mark 6:48. Christ looks down on our struggles in this world. He sees us toiling; He sees us in the waves and the storm. Many of the Lords disciples have to make their voyage over very stormy seas on their way to glory. When the voyage is over, perhaps we shall be allowed to see the charts, and know why it had to be. I remember a song my sisters and I sang long ago and Ive always loved the words: He knows the bitter, weary way, the endless striving day by day, the souls that weep, the souls that pray, He knows, He knows. He knows when faint and worn we sink, how deep the pit, how near the brink, of dark despair we pause and shrink, He knows, He knows. He knows how hard the fight has been, the clouds that come our lives between, the wounds the world has never seen, He knows, He knows. He knows, O thought so full of bliss, for though on earth our joys we miss, we still can bear it feeling this: He knows, He knows.
