This is going to be one of the dumbest post that I ever posted but I am posting it anyway. I was addicted to Starbucks frappes and lattes for well over 15 years. It was an idol so to speak, a very costly one. When I was pregnant with my twins, it was so bad that I gave it up for the duration of my pregnancy as the sugars alone were spiking my insulin levels as I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My sugars were well over 349 every time I drank one of their frappes or lattes. It was laid heavily on my heart for some time before I had read about Starbucks CEOs beliefs (standing against traditional marriage and guns) that I began praying for The LORD to remove it. It wasnt a one time prayer, it was many prayers. Praise The LORD, Ive been Starbucks free for nearly a month with no desire to drink that garbage. You see, my faith isnt only based on the bible but its also based on ALL of my answered prayers. No matter how unimportant or uneventful they may be to the next person they are very important to me as I know that God really does hear my prayers. He wants what is best for His children. He really does deliver us from ourselves and our own selfish desires. Yes, Starbucks coffee was one of my desires and an idol. ANYTHING can become an idol when you think of it everyday, when you need it everyday, when you want it everyday, when you desire it everyday. I couldnt give it up on my own so I handed it over to the One who could and He delivered me. Praise The LORD for ALL of His miracles no matter how big or small. NO ONE can ever persuade me that God does not exist as I can feel His presence every single day. Whatever it is that you want to be delivered from, ask Him, pray to Him and when all is said and done and He has delivered you give Him the Glory due His Marvelous Name!!!! Our God is AWESOME!!!!
