This is gonna be a damn hard game! In just under two weeks, our very own Stockholm Roller Derbys Allstars will bout London Brawl Saints. Brawl Saints is London Rollergirls B-team, and since WFTDA only ranks one team per league, Brawl Saints doesnt have a WFTDA ranking. However, there are some independent rankings done also, and there Brawl Saints are ranked. As far as I can see, Derby Data Europe / European Roller Derby Rankings havent updated their rankings since summer, but if we look at those at least we see that London Brawl Saints were 2nd place in Europe after their own allstars team @ 1207.22, while STRD were 4th @ 753.32 ranking points. Flat Track Stats probably have another way of calculating their rankings: they place Brawl Saints at 2nd place (again after their own allstars team London Brawling) with 789.2 ranking points, and Stockholm Roller Derby directly after at 3rd place with 744 points. So there you have it: were up against a pretty strong team, that have several players that also play with their Allstars team (you know, those who currently are no 5 in the world....). Oh, and if you know your Swedish players, you will see that Fenix (formerly with Crime City) plays with the Brawl Saints, and she was also on the National team for Toronto 2011 and also for this winter 2014 in Dallas. Now, I dont have access to Brawl Saints roster for this upcoming bout, so I dont know if she will play this game though... And before you see our Allstars take on London Brawl Saints, you will se the very glorious BSTRDs skate against Munich Rolling Rebels. Munich ranks at place 212 on the Euro section of Flat Track Stats, and place 138 on Derbydata Europe. BSTRDs is at 108 for Flat Track Stats and 73 for Derbydata Europe. Now, make of these numbers what you will, but in the end the winners will decided on the track, in only twelve days at Solnahallen, before your very eyes. Please buy tickets in advance!
