This is great. I often chat with one or two friends about the loss of never being pregnant again. None of us really want to relive *all* those years, but the sensation of a baby moving & growing inside you, the wonder of all those firsts, that amazing bond of mother & baby...it is indescribable. I gave loved every stage of my kids lives. I love discussing world events and hearing their excitement as they learn something new in school. Children are the most amazing blessing & though I absolutely respect those who choose not to have kids, I could not imagine my life without mine. The Ache is definitely a reality...as you realize there are no more babies...as you take your last walk through their elementary school or attend their final high school event, but I, for one, wouldnt change it for anything.
