This is great and positive news. I congratulate the President and the State Department for this, and I hope (perhaps too optimistically) that this signals that whoever is now in charge of the North Korean regime is rational and sees the need for some sort of thaw in North Koreas long and self-defeating Cold War with most of the rest of the world. But maybe you know what else Im going to say. If our State Department and our President can get this done with North Korea, why is our Marine combat hero, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, still struggling alone in the prison of our close amigo Mexico with the effects of life-threatening post traumatic stress, as well as physical injuries? And with no apparent effort by the highest levels of our Executive Branch on his behalf? What of the Mexican government? When will they come to the conclusion that the Tahmooressi case has gone on too long, and that, whatever benefits Mexico has derived from holding him since March 31, continuing to imprison him is self-defeating, and detrimental to Mexicos other interests? Why is #HRes620 still pending? Why hasnt my own Congressman, Bob Gibbs (R-7, Ohio) declared his support for Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi by co-sponsoring it, despite my repeated requests that he do so? Why am I and other supporters of the Tahmooressi family still having to call, e mail and tweet those public officials who SAY they support our military and its veterans to urge them to take the smallest and most symbolic of steps on behalf of Sgt, Tahmooressi? It would cost them little or nothing,it would remind Mexico that Sgt. Tahmooressi is very important to at many of us in the United States, and it would do wonders for the morale of Andrew and his family, as well our military and its veterans. So why not just co-sponsor #HRes620 and get it passed? It would give me and others a positive reason to respect and re elect my Congressman and to urge others to vote for Republican candidates for both houses of Congress. And I would love to have a positive reason to vote for candidates of my party on November 4. A very rare high five from me to the President and his State Department for the release of Jeffrey Fowle from North Korea. I still wait and pray for the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi. Its Tuesday, the 204th full day of Andrews nightmare in Mexico. #MarineHeldinMexico #SendBackOurMarine #BringBackOurMarine #FreeTheMarine #IStandWithAndrew #ptsd #HRes620 #OH7 #gretawire. stripes/news/pacific/north-korea-s-release-of-ohio-man-fuels-hope-for-2-other-americans-1.309445
