This is great, thanks Ivee DeeVee! It just so happens to be my favourite silly season song, too. Happy silly season everyone! Last day of Hanukkah, first day of Xmas, and well into the time of year that we, as a society, try to spend fun times with as many people as possible - workmates, friends, family etc. Its a whirlwind of social activities, that makes sure we connect, in at least some way, with our fellow people. Its a time when peace on earth becomes imaginable, when the normal routines are shaken up, and we all get a little bit silly together. Its a time when our generosity gets a work out, a time when we stop and wish complete strangers happiness. Its a time when we reflect on our lives, and make plans for the future. And in Australia, its a time when we take some time of work to enjoy our wonderful Aussie summer,when we eat, drink, and be merry. For all these reasons, the silly season is a highlight of the year (though we could possible do it with less plastic, less waste, less OTT consumerism....)
