This is horrifying. I know this road in Plateau state. I used to travel along this road in the 70s. It is mountainous and very dangerous. Gowon is from Pankchin and Akwanga is near his hometown. The money he poured into killing Igbo in Biafran war could have been used to build tunnels through these mountains for train and road traffic. What they did not know in the 60s was that even if Biafra survived, they could have brought Nigeria back together through a bilateral conference. No nation is an island. Every nation needs the other. This accident is a result of government negligence. A government that cares will do something about this road. The situation has been same for more than 40 years. That place again is very desolate making rescue very difficult. That is why no rescue service and the people who arrived have no skills to help. You will think government will build a traffic hospital and emergency service near this place. Our governments are just about getting oil share and going to Europe to shop. Just now · Like
