This is how bad the mice are at my house. Two nights ago, I hear a mouse scrabbling - so know hes caught in a trap but not dead. Throw him outside. (Nearly dead). Terry empties the traps in the morning - two more. Last night, lying in bed I realize theres a dead one in the trap under the buffet, I throw him out. (Lots of washing these days with antibacterial super soap.) I bait the trap with my latest irresistible mouse food - crushed peanut butter M&Ms - and go back to reading. Shortly, another mouse runs across the floor (forgot to mention that there was one taunting me in the living room earlier in the evening but even with the broom and gloves I couldnt get it by myself). This mouse darts up to the trap, carefully nibbles the bait, leaves, comes back, nibbles some more. Never tripped the trap. Terrys thot is I need to put peanut butter on the trap and put the candy IN the peanut butter so it takes them more effort to get it off. This has been the spring from hell with mice. I was literally bragging to my sister about the ammonia and steel wool and how well they worked and I hadnt seen a mouse since then - the other night when one of the little monsters raced across the living room.
