This is how the original Nazis were able to insinuate themselves into the German consciousness. Its the chocolate covered pill, the cheese in the mousetrap, the spoonful of sugar. Its Obama playing with the children, its Steven Harper posing with the kittens. Its always been a successful strategy, and they havent given it up. First they start from a position that is difficult for most people to argue against, such as Animal rights and environmental protection. Then, they get you to a point where you are habitually agreeing with 99% of whatever they say. Then, they quietly slip in that noxious 1%. If you find that you cannot tolerate the noxious ideology they introduce, they quickly fall back on that 99% that you cant dispute. They wait a while, and then they keep re-introducing the noxious poison in small doses until you slowly become used to it. So now, instead of dealing with a foaming-at-the-mouth racist and Anti-Semitic loudmouthed buffoon, you find yourself dealing with a smart, attractive, well groomed and professional person who you MOSTLY agree with, even if they do say a few things you cant agree with. So you tolerate it. After all, no one is perfect, right? Today in Germany, the Nazi party and everything to do with it is illegal. Present day Neo-Nazis in Germany now insinuate their ideology from behind the banner of the Green Party. After all, Adolph Hitler was an animal lover and a conservationist too.
