This is how to get things done. Unfortunately, Americans are too lazy to get off their couches to do anything about the things that matter: Unending war, welfare for the rich, welfare for illegals, an overregulated economy, overtaxation, a flawed monetary system, insane national debt, the loss of our freedoms and liberties, government abuse of power, or the endless myriad of Washington scandals. For a country with such a long history of protesting, it seems the only time Americans are willing to rise up in significant numbers is to fuel their own greed on Black Friday. The only spontaneous displays of anger emerge from the cancellation of their favorite TV show, or incidents such as the firing of Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno. While government spins out of control, Americans are more worried about fighting for JoePa, Tickle-Me Elmo, and American Idol. How pathetic. If Americans are not willing to fight for what matters, then we are all doomed.
