This is in response to a post in my timeline about Stop Hillary in 2016. --- Most of those people who refuse to work might simply be unable to find a job since this economy is still collapsing. If you doubt that, then just look at the fact that a gallon of milk costs half an hours worth of work. The other half the hour goes to buying gas to get you there. Add to that the fact that more and more people are being put on part-time schedules so that the corporations wont have to pay for their insurance, people have less income and have to get a second job. And its a lot easier to find a job if you already have one than it is if you are unemployed; which means fewer jobs for those that are job hunting. Limited finances restrict job hunting. When you dont have an income every dollar that you spend becomes irreplaceable. Online job apps dont make it any easier because you have a million people submitting applications, so employers just scan through them if they look at them at all. My sociology class states that if you have a non-white sounding name, you are less likely to get a call back than if you have a white sounding name. If it takes a person with a white sounding name 10 weeks to get a job, it will take a person with a non-white name 15 weeks. This is proven. So when you take into account that the majority of the people in our country are not white, you have a lot of people that simply arent being hired. You want to help this country to not be screwed? Get our government to stop spending $550+ Billion on War (more than the next ten top military spenders combined) and invest it into our economy by building a clean energy infrastructure, expanding education instead of limiting it, or even expanding healthcare so that people who need help can get it. People want to be able to support themselves and their families, but when they spend their lives being told no they eventually give up. ...but thats just my opinion, I could be wrong. - Dennis Miller
