This is it. The big one, the most fun, the most emotional, the most epic, the most darkest Star Wars film of all time: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. When it came out, people went nuts. Critics gave it great acclaim, some calling it Better than the original Star Wars, destroyed box office records around the world, and finally giving the prequel trilogy its long-awaited acclaim its been craving for. Three years have gone by since the end of Attack of the Clones, and the Clone Wars are still going on. The noble Jedi Knights are spread across the galaxy leading a massive clone army against the Separatists. After Chancellor Palpatine is kidnapped by the evil General Grievous, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former Padawan Anakin Skywalker are dispatched to rescue him. Later, Anakin discovers that his secret wife, Padme, is pregnant. Overjoyed at first, Anakin begins to have nightmares of Padme dying in childbirth, and he vows not to let this dream come true. Meanwhile, Anakins friendship with the Chancellor arouses suspicion in the Jedi Order and proves dangerous to the Jedi Knight himself. When the evil Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, unveils a plot to to take over the galaxy, the fate of Anakin, the Jedi Order, and the entire galaxy is at stake. This film is so incredible and awesome, going into par with Deathly Hallows Part 2, Man of Steel and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Every scene in this film is dark and it gets more intense as the film progresses. The film is almost entirely full of action, filled with incredible visuals and heart-stopping moments. The final duel in this movie, between Obi-Wan and Anakin, is my all-time favorite duel in the whole Star Wars series. Its also the longest, running at about 20 minutes, alongside another duel with Yoda, this time facing Darth Sidious himself. Samuel L. Jackson also gets a duel, and its fun to watch as well. Every single action scene, every single moment, every single line, and every single scene in the film in general, theres only three words I can think about: Awesome, emotional, epic. The characters are still a lot of fun, and this is where the actors put a lot of darkness and emotion into their performances. For my last comment of this film, lets talk about the villains. Hayden Christensen greatly improves in this film as Anakin, and Ian McDairmid returns as the Emperor in all his evil glory. One of the villains in this movie is a cyborg named General Grievous, basically the main villain in the first act of the film. Man, is this villain awesome. Every scene hes in is so intense. Of all the villains in the whole series, Grievous is one of two villains I like the most, alongside Darth Vader. Revenge of the Sith is an amazing film. The performances are epic, the story is epic, and the action is epic. Every scene, every moment is just pure epic. Because of that, Revenge of the Sith is my all-time favorite Star Wars film, and my fifth favorite film of all time. And that was the prequels. Overall, I consider the prequels great blockbuster popcorn entertainment. If you like, write a comment about what you like about the films, if youve seen them. Hope youve enjoyed reading my Star Wars reviews, and I hope theyve made your Star Wars Day terrific. And remember, the Force will be with you... always.
