This is it! This was the clip from Close Encounters that I was looking for! This is an ideal time to be able to speak more than one language -- when youre outside the US (or your home country) having to interact with people who might not speak your language. This movie was probably the main movie that got me inspired to study languages. I wanted to be a professional interpreter. That didnt happen as I had expected but knowing at least one other language helps me better connect with people. :-)
