This is it, boys and girls. If any of my friends havent visited Poof Doof in their lives or havent done so in quite some time, tonight is the night to do it. Now read this VERY carefully, POOF DOOF - a Gay Club for Homos, is MOVING. This may be the end of an era for The Bottom End venue, but a new door awaits to be opened to carry on Doofs legacy. Currently our lips are sealed, but well surprise you soon enough. Poof Doof was the first club I ever went to when I first moved to Melbourne almost 2 years ago. It was my second night in he the city and my friend had been eager to show me this club (with a name that I had to ask twice for... Poof Doof????). Saw the cute bar tenders and fabulous drag queens. Fell in love with anthems like Girls Gone Wild and Kiki and eventually got a job as a promoter and door girl and occasionally dress up as a bearded lady. Opportunities that would be rivaled anywhere else. A good 90% of the friends I have today are thanks to Poof Doof and the memories from that venue are engraved in my mind forever. So it gives me great honor to call upon all whom I have met at this glorious club to return for this last night at the top floor of The Bottom End so we can all go out with a BANG.
