This is it!! our tearful but rewarding time in Moshi is at an end. The team really are emotionally sadden that their amazing journey has came to an end. Saying good bye to all our african supporters, volunteers and friends is not easy. The attachments this years team seem to have made with children is indeed making it very difficult to put closure on this years programs. We set off early in the morning to travel back to the Uk with a 10 hour coach journey ahead. Today is very busy with given out the final aid donated by wonderful people such as friends of Sue Edwards (governance team member) and our supporters at Edinburgh airport. Not forgetting the people in the north east ie Michelle Jones from NOrth Shields who contributed massively in terms of donations of clothes etc. Sally Jane from Birmingham thanks for the money that helped us buy IT technology for the school. Thanks to Hamish Mcleod from Edinburgh for supporting our aims and objectives but more to the point for believing in our young people and I hope your proud of your investment. In simple terms, whilst it is not easy to say goodbye especially now that we all know what we are leaving behind, I have to be true to myself and our team members by asking a simple question Have we made a difference ??? and the answer is also very simple Yes we certainly have and you will soon be able to see the evidence. As the director of mkfacp and all its projects I also finds the last few day very difficult hearing cries for help from the orphaned children who desperately need our support on a daily basis it can be difficult to cope with what we see. However, I hold onto the thought that we came and delivered what we could not because of self-gratification but because of the kind support the general public has given us. Basically people who will may never meet the desperate wee angles we see over here who have no one looking out for them and despite the difficult times we encounter here in Africa, I guess the one thing that keeps me coming back year after year is the fact that there is those in life who really do believe in caring and sharing so thanks to those who have invested in us in your own special way. On-wards and upwards ah!! Your loved ones will soon be home and no-doubt will share their successes and indeed failures with you. Life is a journey and this journey has truly been very rewarding. We have all had a learning experience that i know will impact on our lives in many different ways for ever. Thanks to you all xxxx Christina Wren..
