This is just a quick note to highlight two upcoming events for Radical Presence: Black Performance in Contemporary Art. Today, we will be hosting an informal information session for those interested in activating Theaster Gates’s See, Sit, Sup, Sip, Sing: Holding Court. We will meet at the piece, which is currently on view in Radical Presence, at 5:00pm this evening. Since I have had one-on-one meetings with many of you, I understand if you will not be attending. Artist Ralph Lemon will “hold court” in conversation with Walker senior curator Fionn Meade, discussing how we think of value in relation to artistic practice.
