This is just a throw-away tune. Everyone has songs they don’t - TopicsExpress

This is just a throw-away tune. Everyone has songs they don’t like and every songwriter has songs they didn’t like after they wrote it. This one is one of those for me. It’s just about young puppy love. I was 15 when I wrote it and I didn’t do much with it today since I don’t think it’s really worth the effort. I just wanted to record it and move on. (I think my OCD made me record this so I could put it away and move on to more interesting things.) The only fun I had in doing this was experimenting with only two microphones to record everything, (minus the overheads for drums and the kick drum where an AKG is firmly planted.) I used an SM57 and SM58 for everything else, from the vocals to the guitars, tambourine, and cowbell. (MORE cowbell!) This is song #11. SWEET SWEET BABY MY SWEET, SWEET BABY, YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY. YOU MAKE ME FEEL LAZY WHEN YOU’RE WITH ME. OH MY, OH MY, HOW YOU MADE ME CRY, AND THAT’S NO LIE WHEN YOU’RE NEAR ME. WHY’D YOU MAKE ME CRY? CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHY! YOU SAID WE’D BE FINE IF WE’RE TOGETHER. (SOLO) OH MY SWEET BABY, I’M BACK WITH YOU. ALL I WANT IS YOU FOR MY OWN. I SAID, “NOW BABY, YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY. PEOPLE SAY I’M A-LAZY WHEN YOU’RE NEAR ME. (SOLO) MY SWEET, SWEET BABY, WHEN YOU SAID, “MAYBE,” EVERYTHING TURNED HAZY. NOW YOU’RE WITH ME. (SOLO) SWEET, SWEET BABY, I SAID SWEET, SWEET BABY NOW. C’MON SWEET, SWEET BABY, I SAID SWEET, SWEET BABY NOW. Written and performed by Wayde K. Brown & The Santairs Copyright 2014—All Rights Reserved Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.
