This is just one of hundreds, if not thousands of examples of why it is extremely important - ESPECIALLY within the movement that prides itself on its claim to be The Restoration Movement - that preachers, teachers, and shepherds be both students and disciples of the leading edge of research and discovery in regards to translation, linguistics, word usage and meaning as is partially described in this article. The church lags 50 to 100 (some estimate 150) YEARS behind what The Academy learns as it advances in discovery and interpretation in the study of artifacts recovered in the past century or so. Our tradition was established as a move of The Spirit in reaction AGAINST traditions that were determined to be incomplete, unenlightened, misinformed, unresponsive, inflexible, etc. Our understanding of the revelation of ABBA is ever and always a work-in-progress...a trajectory. Instead, we have become what our origins were a reaction against. We are guarding what we were - resting on our laurels, rather than leading the way into what ABBA hopes that we might become. It is time to awaken...again.
