This is kinda terrible IMO. All the words are just SMASHed up together really quickly in order to fit the notes, but with no comprehension of music composition. Reminds me of a lot of peoples mashups where they just keep stacking the verses one after each other without regard for the consistency/flow of the instrumental track. and then it gets off tempo really quick or the lyrics end before the inst. does. Its why Ill omit parts of the vocals if necessary or add back in the backing tracks vocals in order to keep it sounding like an actual song. This happens with a lot of Space Jam mashups where youll have the CMON AND SLAM/AND WELCOME TO THE JAM part all over the place, from the chorus to the bridge to the refrain and it makes you lose interest in the song actually matching up. The reason Space Jam gets away with it is because the tempo is consistent throughout and you have the bass in the SJ instrumental give the illusion of staying on beat besides not matching the original instrumentals patterns. All Star is notable for having only one set of verses Somebody once told me...shape of an L on her forehead compared to other songs that use two sets of verses. Which is why in GOOD mixes, youll have the mashup artist repeat the first verse or skip ahead and use the 2nd: Somebody once asked...All could use a little CHHHHAANNNNGGGGEEE! Id rather omit the Areumdawo sarangseureowo part of Gangnam Style than have it go over a chorus that doesnt fit. So here, we just have something that lacks the SPIRIT of All Star completely, and folks just like it because of OH, ITS SHREK/SMASH BROTHERS, LOL! At least the instrumental is nice.
