This is looking better now ... can we get the last bit in ?? I have known this family for 8 years now . My friend lost his home to foreclosure 7 years ago leaving him to care for his elderly father and learning disabled brother without a home to live in . We all spend all night every night sharing dogs out in grave danger because of much lesser reasons than this , my friend however has always been totally devoted to caring for his family , including his 2 little dogs , no matter what life has thrown at him . So many times he has gone without himself for them and always tries so hard to provide for their needs with very little support from anywhere apart from his brothers benefit each month . At times they have had to live in their car out on the streets even following his dad having surgery for bowel cancer which left him with a colostomy bag . They were dealt a devastating blow 18 months ago whern his dad died following a 3 month barttle with Pnumonia caused by a stroke which affected his swallowing ability . During that 3 months my friend was the only person his dad had to be there for him and he was constantly at his bed side making sure he got the care he needed whilst also caring for his brother and 2 little dogs . Both my friend and his brother were devastated when their dad died and still grieve badly for him now . It was after the death of his dad that I started doing these fund raisers to start with because his brothers benefit was all recalculated and it took another 3 months before it was being paid to them properly . Then afterwards because whilst they had a room and a bed to sleep in they feel safe , but just the thought that they might be back to living in the car again makes my friend physically sick now and I really dont know how theyd cope with it now . My friend often finds everything just too much to cope with and tells me all he wants is to be at peace and with his dad again . At the same time he knows his brother and 2 little dogs need him and hes too devoted to them to leave them on their own . youcaring/help-a-neighbor/please-continue-with-your-support/121731
