This is more from the pool in the Midcities I have posted about recently. It had been replastered 4 times with homebrew bondcoats. You can see by how easily the plaster is falling off the wall of the pool that homebrew bondcoats do not work! They are a poor choice to secure your plaster investment to the pool. Plaster that is not tightly bonded to the pool substrate is not water tight. Water can escape the pool and can lead to structural failures. This pool had several structural failures due to this issue. G&B does not use bond coat at all in our replaster projects.
