This is my 11 year old mixed breed, Romy. She has never been abused. I adopted her when she was 2 months old, born at the shelter. She is, however, extremely shy and fearful. If she is not trained with anything but patience, love and motivation, she immediately shuts down. Lately she has been having some health issues so I wanted to train her to use a ramp. She was very scared of it and never before wanted to use it, and since there was no need, I never trained her to use it. This took me literally 3 minutes because a) All her life Ive worked on her trusting me, and b) There were treats involved.
