This is my 1970 Ambassador base model with a 360 and original 48k miles. Original paint and interior. I found it 2 years ago only a few miles from my house sitting outside (last 2 pictures). I talked to the owner but he didnt want to let it go. It was his wifes deceased aunts car (Burdella Rankin of Galesburg, IL) He became ill then the AMC was placed on craigslist. A friend of mine seen it online so I quickly made the call and made the deal. It turns out when Burdella passed away in 1987 (age 89) and the car was put in storage. The mice got under the hood but not into the interior. It only sat out for a year or two. After replacing all the ignition and brake parts and some new tires its back on the road after 26 years. Ill be taking it the AMC car show in Mendota, IL this Saturday. Still have to rebuild the carb and replace the exhaust.
