This is my 3-4 month old foster puppy, Kirbi. Let me tell you her back story. I bought her off craigslist (everyone knows the horrible risks that face dogs sold or given away on craigslist) from a young immigrant with little English who had been given 4 puppies in return for work he did for the breeder. Unfortunately, I was too late to grab all the puppies and only got the last girl. Kirbi is a pyr/mix, extremely sweet, shy at first and is so looking for a person to devote herself to. She is laying at my feet as I type this and is never far away from me. She LOVES to snuggle on a lap and be carried around (which is going to be impossible soon enough). She has not been socialized well and gets easily frightened of sounds or sights of which she is not familiar. When she is scared she wants to be picked up and held. She is still just a baby. Kirbi derives a great deal of comfort from people but could also use a confident friendly dog companion to show her the ropes. I dont normally foster puppies because I am not set up well to do so but we are overrun in KY. It is the puppy season. My hat is off to puppy fosters. I dont know how you give them up. My heart has gone out to this, oh so sweet, little scared mouse and I expect it will break when she leaves.
