This is my 40th. July working at Bike N Hike. I dont often move or close a store. The energy is completely different than opening a new location. I have to thank our great customers that helped make this our most successful sale in our 42 year history. The out-pouring of kind words I heard from our customers will stick with me forever. The most humbling thing for me is to see who sticks with you. Its human nature to give up. I like to see who is still standing when things are not so bright. These are the people I want to be around. One of my most humbling days on the planet happened yesterday, August 1st. We did not ask any friends or customers to help us move or dismantle the store. The great ones showed, they did the work and they know who they are. I will love you forever. Our other locations are still serving our great customers and dont count me out for a future Portland location. I plan to re-tool and deliver something the world has not seen. Its all UP from here.
