This is my 5th day of the #ArtJewelryChallenge but I may continue, as this is so much fun. Today, Im going to switch things around and go back to my Memory Container series. This piece is entitled Sleeping Gypsy. This 4.5 inch wide container is sterling silver with a satin pillow on top. When the lid opens, one sees a tool box that contains miniature jewelers tools. When the tool box is removed, a ballet studio with a parquet floor, barres and tiny toe shoes is revealed. The inside of the lid is a polished piece of silver that reflects like the mirrors in a dance studio. Hard to believe, but this piece was made 39 years ago. I still feel like that sleeping gypsy.
