This is my Aussie built 1981 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon. It was way ahead of its time, with features like EFI, 4 wheel discs, 4 speed auto, dual zone climate control, automatic central locking (when it gets to 10 kph) and even a fridge in the parcel shelf. They have been largely forgotten about, however there seems to be a slowly growing popularity for them, as they offer great value for money as a cheap classic. I dunno if you are interested, but I am happy to offer my car for an article for your magazine if you think its worthwhile. I know its not the most desirable car out there, but it is something a bit different, as well as being Aussie built. - Paul
